kurlee-belle-almond-shea-butter-shampoo
Price Point & Size:
$16.00 / 8 oz
Description:
Almond & Shea Butter Moisturizing Shampoo gently cleanses the hair and scalp without stripping natural oils. Almond nourishes the hair to help it grow long and strong. Shea Butter deeply moisturizes while repairing damage to the hair and scalp. Citrus contains vitamins that cleanse and increase scalp circulation.
How To Use:
Apply Almond & Shea Butter Moisturizing Shampoo to wet hair. Gently massage into hair and scalp to create a rich lather. Rinse and repeat as necessary.
I only used it to cleanse once.  It did such a great job the first go around I didn’t feel it necessary to reapply.  The lather is ON POINT and a little goes a long way so don’t over do it with this product.
Ingredients:Water (Aqua), Sodium C14-16 Olefin Sulfonate, Disodium Laureth Sulfosuccinate, Cocamide MEA, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Sodium Lauryl Sulfoacetate, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Apple Cider Vinegar, Polyquaternium- 10, Polyquaternium-7, PEG-12 Dimethicone, PEG-150 Distearate, Tetrasodium EDTA, DMDM Hydantoin, Citric Acid, Fragrance (Parfum).
The Smell:
Like a slice of citrus, nutty heaven.  That sounds weird, but it smells amazing.  It’s one of those smells you just to have to experience for yourself.  Trust me.
Final Conclusions:
This was my first time using this shampoo and it exceeded whatever expectations I did have.  I didn’t expect it to be as effective and I really like the fact that it worked well with my color-treated hair!  It didn’t leave my hair feeling stripped, but it also left my hair feeling very clean.  I’ll be using this often.
kurlee-belle-banana-avocado-deep-treatment
Price Point & Size:
$16.00 / 8 oz
Description:Banana Nut & Avocado Deep Treatment is just what the doctor ordered for dry, damaged hair. Bring those tresses back to life with our smooth concoction of Banana, Avocado, Honey and Coconut. Banana is rich in potassium and hailed for its moisturizing properties. Avocado contains fatty acids that nourish, smooth and soften hair. Honey provides shine while conditioning to make hair soft and supple. Coconut hydrates, conditions and softens.
How To Use:
Apply a generous amount to wet hair. Gently massage into scalp and comb through with fingers or wide tooth comb. Cover with a plastic cap. Sit under hooded dryer for 5-20 minutes. Rinse with cool water.
When it says “generous” I translate that to mean “don’t hold back” so I didn’t.  I used enough to cover all of my strands and it was a great product to use for detangling.  I didn’t use a comb, but I finger detangled so that my curls would clump together.  Also, instead of using a hooded dryer, I used just the cap and left it on for 20 minutes. Hair. so. soft.
Ingredients:Water (Aqua), Cetearyl Alcohol, Cetyl Alcohol, Behentrimonium Methosulfate, Stearic Acid, Potassium Sorbate, Musa Sapientum (Banana) Fruit Basil Oil, Persea Gratissima (Avocado) Oil, Honey Extract, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Tocopheryl Acetate, Disodium EDTA, Sodium Hydroxide, Fragrance (Parfum).
The Smell:
This smells like banana nut bread.  it’s just that simple.  It is a fresh loaf of banana nut bread baking on your curls.  It’s just glorious.
Final Conclusions:
I used all of this up the first time, so this time around I intend to do the same.  It is the truth!  The smell… yea, that’s enough, but what’s a smell if it’s not effective?  This left my curls so hydrated and soft.  This would be one of my favorites from the whole line.
kurlee-belle-thirsty-kurls-leave-in-conditioner
Price Point & Size:
$14.00 / 8 oz
Description:Thirsty Kurls Leave-In Conditioner provides “lots of slip” and moisture that detangles and softens curls. Hibiscus penetrates the cuticle to maintain acid balance. Aloe Vera soothes and moisturizes dry, damaged hair. Honey hydrates and helps the hair retain moisture.
How To Use:After shampooing with Almond & Shea Butter Moisturizing Shampoo apply a generous amount of Thirsty Kurls Leave-In Conditioner.
There goes that word “generous” again.  I used about a quarter size amount… well… you can see on the video exactly how much I used.  It was a good amount.  I just applied it all over my hair making sure to massage it into my ends (as they are normally the thirstiest).
Ingredients:Water (Aqua), Cetearyl Alcohol, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Behentrimonium Methosulfate, Simmondsia Chinsensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Emulsifying Wax, Hibiscus Rosa-Senensis Extract, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Honey Extract, Tocopheryl Acetate, BHT, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Fragrance (Parfum).
The Smell:
Unlike the two products mentioned above, this is more of a floral aroma.  It really smells like a bed full of roses, but it’s not overbearing (as a matter of fact it’s rather faint).
Final Conclusions:
This was my first time using this product.  I didn’t really have to use this product to detangle (already did that with the deep treatment), but it does have great slip and my hair was very soft.  Maybe I will repurpose this and use it as a styler or moisturizer… Hmmm…
kurlee-belle-kurl-defining-creme
Price Point & Size:
$18.00 / 8 oz

DESCRIPTION:KURL DEFINING CREME MOISTURIZES, DE-FRIZZES AND DEFINES CURLS. FOR SOFT, SHINY, ELONGATED CURLS, CUPUACU BUTTER PROMOTES MOISTURE AND ELASTICITY. ARGAN OIL CONTAINS VITAMINS AND FATTY ACIDS THAT STRENGTHEN AND ENCOURAGE GROWTH. SHEA BUTTER DEEPLY MOISTURIZES WHILE REPAIRING DAMAGE TO THE HAIR AND SCALP.

HOW TO USE:APPLY A GENEROUS AMOUNT TO WET OR DRY HAIR AND STYLE AS USUAL. GREAT FOR TWISTS, BRAIDS AND AS A DAILY MOISTURIZER.

I haven’t used this as a daily moisturizer because I haven’t needed to, but I think I’ll explore that possibility.  Also, the definition it claims to give is not a lie.  It leaves your styles very defined!
Ingredients:Water (Aqua), Ethylhexyl Palmitate, Stearic Acid, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Glycerin, Montmorillonite, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Cetyl Alcohol, Theobroma Grandiflorum (Cupuacu) Butter, Argania Spinosa (Argan) Oil, Emulsifying Wax, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylates Crosspolymer, Tocopheryl Acetate, BHT, Disodium EDTA, DMDM Hydantoin, Sodium Hydroxide, Fragrance (Parfum).
The Smell:
This smells more like coconuts to me than anything.  It’s light and I can dig that.
Final Conclusions:
This is a very lightweight formula!  It isn’t sticky, nor does it leave a residue (don’t over do it, though).  This was one of the first products that I got and though I didn’t use the whole thing the first go around, I used a good amount.  It has since then been reformulated and I like it even more now.  I used this in conjunction with the Jelle Coconut, but used alone it is also effective at keeping the frizz away.  The price is a little steep, but truly a little goes a long way (so don’t burn through your money using way too much of this product)!
kurlee-belle-jelle-coconut-styling-gel
Price Point & Size:
$14.00 / 8 oz
Description:Jelle Coconut sculpts and defines your natural curl pattern without crunch and flakes. This product is made from 100% Coconut Oil to hydrate and condition your strands for maximum hold and shine. Jelle Coconut is the ultimate curl definer for frizz-free, soft and sexy curls.
How To Use:Evenly apply Jelle Coconut to sections of freshly washed, conditioned, detangled, damp hair. Work a generous amount of product through hair from root to tip and style as usual. Let hair air dry or use a  blow dryer with diffuser.
Because I use this with the Kurls Defining Creme I don’t use a lot of it.  I really want to explore defining my coils with it… I think that’s up next.
Ingredients:Water(Aqua), Polysorbate 20, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein, Vinyl, Pyrrolidone, Glycerin, Carbomer, Tetrasodium EDTA, DMDM Hydantoin, Triethanolamine, Fragrance (Parfum)
The Smell:
Faint scent of coconut.. hence the name.  But it doesn’t smell like artifical coconuts.  It smells like the real deal.
Final Conclusions:
I love this gel.  I can’t remember why I didn’t use it regularly before but I feel like now is the time to start exploring it more.  The hold it gives without the flakes? Soft, yet the style didn’t budge.
